We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit with three overlapping mission components.

We are a Farm Animal Sanctuary located just west of Lakeview, Michigan. The first branch of our mission is to provide forever homes for unwanted, abused, or neglected animals. Currently, we are home to rescued sheep, cats, rabbits, and Australian Shepherds.

The second branch of our mission is community outreach. Because we believe that all animals live sacred lives entwined with their human companions, we reach out to the surrounding community in multifaceted ways. First, for those pets and people who are experiencing difficult life transitions, including the elderly, those who have chronic or unexpected illnesses or accidents, or those whose pets are at the end of their lives, we will work to help maintain the relationship between the pets and their people in the home whenever and wherever possible. Second, should anyone encounter homeless very young kittens (under 6 weeks old), we will provide a ”Kitten Care Kit” at no charge as long as the person doing the rescuing comes to our Sanctuary.

The third  branch of our mission reflects our belief that educating for environmental activism is Rescue and Recovery ~ of the unwanted animals, of the damaged Earth. In our Blog here and on our Facebook page, you will find our thoughts on how we can rescue the earth through photos, videos, and links to others who share our mission: heal the Earth and rebalance her for the sake of all life on it.

We welcome you as a partner in our mission. Together, we can provide sanctuary for injured or unwanted animals, give support to the relationships between and among humans and animals, and stand with each other as we advocate for a balanced and safe Earth.
